Dr. Art Hister, an MD graduate from McGill University, gave up his General Practice in 1991 to become a full-time "media doctor."  Thousands listen to his Canadian radio broadcasts (on the Corus network), and his weekly appearance on Global TV. 
Dr. Art has won numerous awards (see his website) and his two books -"Guide to Living a Longer and Healthier Life" and "Midlife Man" are well worth reading. 
Dr. Art's health articles have appeared in Reader's Digest, Canadian Living, and The Globe and Mail. Dr. Art 
is also the in-house doctor for "Up All Night" on BBC 5.
Dr. Art has served on the boards of numerous organizations dedicated to

Central Pain Syndrome Alliance
CPS goes by many different names, and is associated with many health conditions and diseases.  This syndrome afflicts as many as 15% of stroke survivors.

Our mission statement is to bring stroke survivors, care givers together and help them on the road to recovery, make available information on technologies and treatments available on a world wide basis and be a forum for positive recovery and stroke survivors experiences. With a future goal of making physical therapy available at cost or free, for those who can not afford it and make that a growing interest to expand those services nationally on an ongoing basis.
